About Us
We came to the Netherlands in 2023 to introduce yuba, a traditional Japanese ingredient made from only soybeans.
Since we came to the Netherlands, many people have asked us,
"Why do you want to start a food business here?"
Japan has many delicious foods, and you can find food anytime at 24/7 convenience stores. But, at the same time, we feel that respect for traditional foods and recipes is not as strong in Japan as it used to be. Many young people today don’t appreciate traditional Japanese food and culture as much as they should.
One example is yuba. Yuba has been part of Japanese vegetarian cooking for centuries, but most young people in Japan don’t know about it.
Growing up in Japan, we took many traditions for granted. Now, in the Netherlands, we see a country that values history, tradition, and simple, high-quality food. This is why we decided to take on this challenge here.
We believe that through the Netherlands, we can share Japan’s wonderful traditional ingredients with the world and keep them alive for future generations.
